Applesauce Oatmeal

• 1 cup skim milk
• 1/2 cup quick-cooking or old-fashioned rolled oats
• 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
• Artificial sweetener equivalent to 4 teaspoons sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 3 drops vanilla extract

In medium saucepan, heat milk at medium heat until almost boiling. Add oats; cook and stir until desired consistency. Add applesauce, sweetener, cinnamon, and vanilla; stir until combined. Serve with or without milk. Makes 2 servings.
